STYLE HACKS ONLY SMART MEN KEEP HANDY…
Style Hack 1: Do not let that Fly…Fly!
Your denim | chinos zipper if not of good quality may sometimes leave you embarrassed while you are hanging out with friends or someone special. To save yourself from all the stress here’s a quick trick!
Take out the ring from your keychain and pass it through the pull tab of the zipper. Now zip your pants and tuck the ring in the top button. You are set!
Style Hack 2: Avoid being Un-buttoned
Already getting late for work and you suspect a button getting loose as you button up the shirt. Don’t worry just put a coat of transparent nail polish on both the sides of the bottom on top of the thread and it will last you a few washes or at least a day. Better safe than sorry:-)
Style Hack 3: Post play Shoes
Just back from a round of your favourite sweaty game and your shoes stink…just crumble sheets of newspaper and shove them in the shoes. The smell and moisture will all be absorbed. If you really love you shoes here is more on how to take care.
Style Hack 4: Straighten those collar tips
Very often if you try and straighten the collar tips using a normal iron the tips develop iron marks due to excess fabric inside. Hack it by borrowing your girl’s hair straightener and briefly press it at the tips. Using ‘Collar Stays’ is a good idea too!
Style Hack 5: Stuck Zipper
A problem with metal zippers mostly and when its not YKK! They get stuck in humid weather or if detergent gets stuck in its teeth or with time. Use a black graphite pencil or a candle and rub it in the zipper teeth. Both graphite and wax act as lubricants and ease the slider movement. Never get stuck again!
Style Hack 6: Gum on your favourite garment
Place 2 ice cubes on top of the chewing gum affected area and let it become hard. Soon it will loosen its grip and can be peeled off easily. If its too stubborn watch this video for an extra step.
Style Hack 7: Lint free clothes
Accumulation of lint is a common problem with cotton and woollen clothes. Two quick hacks to save you from all that unwanted pilling.
Hack 1: Wrap clear tape inside out on 3 or 4 fingers of your hand and rub it in the affected areas. The lint will stick to the tape and your suit / garments appears new.
Hack 2: For denims and strong fabrics take a used single use razor and with a light hand shave off the lint by moving the razor in a single direction. Never use on velvets and pile fabrics as it may spoil the cloth permanently.
Style Hack 8: Un-shrink your most loved T-shirt
Before you give up on your favourite t-shirt coz it went small on its first wash give this hack a try. Soak the t-shirt in hot water and some hair conditioner for a few minutes. Take out, stretch back to its original size and dry flat. (Tip: trace the t-shirt on a sheet of newspaper and spread out for drying stretching it beyond the drawn outlines). It will get back to size:-)
Style Hack 9: Save your time from ironing
Hang cotton shirts in hangers when semi dry. This will help straighten the shirt requiring less time to iron.
Style Hack 10: Blazers and Shirts that need steam
During winters hang the Shirt and Blazer you want to wear in the bathroom while taking a shower. The steam will even out most of the wrinkles and give you a crisp feel.
Style Hack 11: Re-threading the drawstring
With the ath-leisure trend gaining popularity and with your wardrobes piling up with comfort clothing… its quiet often that one faces this challenge. Save some time by using a stable drinking straw to re-thread those hoodie and payjama strings.
Style Hack 12: Stack them like files
More clothes, Less space….story of every wardrobe! To organise it well take que from the Konmari Method of organising and hack the space in drawers where you store your casual trousers like file folders and t-shirts all rolled up or as files.

That zipper one you got actually looked pretty interesting. I bought a nice jacket from American Eagle and the problem with it was actually the zipper. Like the jacket was super nice and looked like awesome streetwear but the zipper would not even function and i didn’t realize it until months after i had bought it and the zipper would not even work. i have to try what you said about the graphite/candle wax.
