Something ‘Burgundy’
Color trends suggest a deep color palate for warm and soothing effect with ochers, rich reds, deep purples and olive greens but the most trending color of the season is ‘wine’ or ‘burgundy’. Runways across the globe have been dominated with men adorning this rich hue.
Invest in something burgundy such as a knitted full sleeves jersey | a formal work cardigan | pair of shoes | a shirt | tie | piece of luggage or a satchel | socks | jacket…actually anything to be in vogue.
Keep following #imforStyle and do share your feedback.

Plaid Flannels
Plaid is a chequered cloth (basically check patterned) and Flannel is a kind of soft woven fabric, typically made of wool or cotton and slightly soft and fluffy.
To stay ahead in your styling opt for a Flannel (with Plaid pattern) Shirt, Jacket or Scarf this winter.
How to Wear:
Scarves- Want to go slow and still be trendy…shop for a flannel scarf and drape it around your neck in any fashion. (Click here for scarf tying techniques)
Shirt- Button it up or wear it open with a pair up Jeans or Chinos. While leaving it front open sport a light coloured T-shirt and wear a branded belt or a neck scarf.
Jacket- Pick up a casual bomber jacket or a semi-formal one. Square them up with flat front trousers, but don’t forget to keep the shirt solid colored.
TexStyle Tip by I’m for Style: Flannel fabrics are soft, warm and keep you comfortably cozy. It adds to the warmth if the fabric is a wool blend.

OverSized Coats
Over sized coats: don’t get foxed by the large size – they are in fashion! All Hollywood personalities are flashing it and all fashion shows have them as an integral part of men’s winter wear collection.
What to pick:
Overall silhouettes are loosening up specially in Outerwear. Go for a coat thats soft on the shoulders and squaring up in drape. Choose from regular to asymmetrical fronts or opt for double breasted in medium to heavy weight fabrics (felts | wovens).
Material:
Wool and wool blends, fleece and even faux suede. ‘I’m for Style’ recommends 100%wool if you want them to last long.
Colors:
Shades of Grey and Deep Greens
TexStyle Tip:
Heavy weight wool which is finely woven and Felt Fabrics have heat insulating and heat retaining properties so they protect you from chilling cold and are best suited to keep you warm.
What’s more: Its just got in Vogue and here to stay over seasons. Only coat that will be useful next season too 🙂

Rolled over Necks
Runway trends for Winter 2015 suggest keeping your neck covered with ‘Turtle’ or ‘Rollover neck’. Seen almost across all major design showcases this trend reminds me of my favourite innovator ‘Steve Jobs’ (see the story below on why did Steve Jobs wore a uniform mock Turtle Neck T-Shirt ).
Pic indicates the trends by Bally | Balmain | Marc Jacobs. Individual photos have been taken from Vogue website showcasing A/W 2015-16 Menswear collections by designers.
‘Be Different’! Challenge the status quo and go against the formal Shirt -Tie look this season by sporting a Turtle neck in T-shirts | Sweaters | Jackets | Coats |
Color selection: All warm color tones (Family of yellow-red-brown)…and Black never goes of of fashion!
Fabric & Texture: You may go for cotton | wool | wool blends in fine knits to heavy chunky cable knits
How to wear Turtle neck T-shirts: Wear them tucked or untucked by pairing with Denims | Chinos | Flat front trousers and layer them with a jacket or coat to add to the warmth.

Marks and Spencer have some very good Lambwool scarves, similar to what Aanchal suggests.. and they actually appear very chic.
